मतदान के लिए कुल 51687 पोलिंग स्टेशन बनाए गए। राजस्थान में कुल 4,7554217 मतदाता हैं। इनमें पुरुष मतदाता 2,4836699 और महिला मतदाता 2,2717518 हैं। पहली बार राज्य में करीब 20 लाख मतदाता पहली बार वोट डालेंगे। शाम पांच बजे तक मतदाता अपना फैसला ईवीएम में दर्ज कर देंगे। 11 दिसंबर को पता चलेगा कि जनता ने किसके पक्ष में फैसला दिया है। मुकाबला कांग्रेस और भाजपा के बीच है।
7,791 मतदान केंद्र संवेदनशील
विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए 7,791 मतदान केंद्रों को संवेदनशील चिन्हित किया गया है। इन केंद्रों पर केंद्रीय पुलिस बलों को तैनात किया गया है ताकि शांतिपूर्ण और निष्पक्ष ढंग से मतदान सुनिश्चित किया जा सके। पुलिस महानिदेशक ओ.पी. गल्होत्रा ने बताया कि इसके साथ ही पंजाब, हरियाणा, उत्तर प्रदेश मध्य प्रदेश और गुजरात से लगती अंतरराज्यीय सीमाओं पर नाकेबंदी कर दी गई है।
राजस्थान पुलिस ने निष्पक्ष और शान्तिपूर्ण ढंग से मतदान संपन्न कराने के लिए व्यापक सुरक्षा व्यवस्था की है। सभी मतदान केन्द्रों पर चाक चौबंद सुरक्षा व्यवस्था के साथ ही 7,791 संवेदनशील बूथों पर केन्द्रीय पुलिस बलों का जाप्ता तैनात किया गया है।
उन्होंने बताया कि चुनाव बंदोबस्त में कुल लगभग 1.44 लाख से अधिक सिपाही, हेडकांस्टेबल और एएसआई और लगभग 1500 पुलिस अधिकारी तैनात किए गए हैं। इसके अलावा पैरामिलिट्री की 640 कंपनियां और पड़ोसी राज्यों से 13,000 होमगार्ड वॉलंटियर को लगाया गया है।
2274 प्रत्याशी मैदान में
राजस्थान विधानसभा में कुल 200 सीटें हैं। मतदान 199 सीटों पर होगा। अलवर की रामगढ़ सीट से बसपा प्रत्याशी लक्ष्मण चौधरी के निधन के बाद चुनाव स्थगित कर दिया गया है। कुल 2274 प्रत्याशी मैदान में हैं जिनमें 182 महिला प्रत्याशी और 2092 पुरुष प्रत्याशी हैं।
कांग्रेस ने 195 उम्मीदवार मैदान में उतारे हैं। लोकसभा में गठबंधन को ध्यान में रखते हुए दो-दो सीटें लोजद और रालोद के लिए और एक सीट एनसीपी के लिए छोड़ी है। भाजपा ने 199 उम्मीदवार, बसपा ने 190 उम्मीदवार, आप ने 141 उम्मीदवार, भारत वाहिनी पार्टी ने 63 उम्मीदवार, रालोप ने 57 उम्मीदवार उतारे हैं। मैदान में 839 निर्दलीय भी खड़े हैं।
