The implementation of cutting-edge technology, such as the Internet of Things, 3D scanning, and artificial intelligence improves planning and management, making all stages of the process more efficient. The article also points out the lack of a less fragmented approach that would be able to take complex interactions of demolition and construction processes with urban ecosystems into account. The solution lies in not only implementing the technologies listed above separately but also establishing an integrated adaptive project management system that will help to take advantage of the technology.

His project for renovating a public-school building received a $4 million grant under Renew American school program, which is a testament proving its practical functionality and efficiency. These examples illustrate how a data-based approach can bring planning and management in construction to a new level.
