Yes , there was a MOU with IFES in 2012 when I was CEC like we had with many other agencies and Election Management Bodies to facilitate training for desirous countries at ECI ‘s training and resource centre, IIIDEM , which was very new at that stage . 2/4

उन्होंने कहा, 2012 में एक एमओयू हुआ था लेकिन वह इंटरनेशनल फाउंडेशन फॉर इलेक्टोरल सिस्टम्स के साथ हुआ था लेकिन यह भारतीय चुनाव आयोग के प्रशिक्षण और संसाधन केंद्र में दुनिया के इच्छुक देशों के चुनाव अधिकारियों को प्रशिक्षण दिए जाने से संबंधित था। ईसीआई का यह प्रशिक्षण केंद्र, इंडिया इंटरनेशनल इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ डेमोक्रेसी एंड इलेक्शन मैनेजमेंट (आईआईडीईएम) में स्थित है। पूर्व मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ने कहा कि चुनाव आयोग इस तरह के एमओयू कई अन्य चुनाव प्रबंधन ईकाईयों के साथ करता है और इसमें किसी तरह का वित्तीय लेन-देन नहीं हुआ था न ही ऐसे लेन-देन का कोई वादा ही था।
