G. B Pant University of Agriculture & Technology is one of the first agricultural university of India. It was established in the year 1960.This university was established in Uttarakhand with mission to educate rural people to attain/participate in development, bridge up the agricultural technology, create awareness about health, hygiene, bio-diversity conservation and environment for sustainable development, generate employment in the field of agriculture and allied disciplines.

 G. B Pant University of Agriculture & Technology has campus at Pantnagar located at a distance of 250 km from Delhi in Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand. The University has an impressive and pollution free campus with an elegant network of roads, guest houses, colleges, schools, hostels, residences, research stations, and farm land. The University provides residential facility to all the students and employees in the the main campus itself except for College of Forestry and Hill Agriculture. This university has well stocked library, The University establish a full-fledged Directorate of Placement and Counselling to advise and prepare the students in getting suitable jobs.
