भारतीय डिफेंडर अनस ने अंतरराष्ट्रीय फुटबॉल को कहा अलविदा

अनस ने लिखा, 'भारी मन से मैं अंतरराष्ट्रीय फुटबॉल से संन्यास ले रहा हूं। मेरे लिए यह काफी कठिन फैसला है। मैं कुछ और साल खेलना चाहता था लेकिन अब युवाओं को मौका देने के लिए यह मेरे लिए संन्यास का सबसे उपयुक्त समय है। राष्ट्रीय टीम में आने के लिए मुझे 11 साल तक इंतजार करना पड़ा। यह मेरे कॅरिअर का सबसे शानदार पल था। हालांकि मेरा सफर छोटा था लेकिन इस दौरान मैंने टीम के लिए अपना 100 फीसदी देने का प्रयास किया।'

अनस संयुक्त अरब अमीरात में जारी एएफसी एशियन कप में खेलने वाली भारतीय टीम का हिस्सा थे। भारतीय टीम बहरीन से हारकर ग्रुप चरण में ही बाहर हो गई थी। केरल में फुटबॉल का गढ़ कहे जाने वाले मल्लापुरम जन्मे अनस ने भारत के लिए कुल 19 मैच खेले। अनस ने सभी मैच स्टीफन कोंस्टेनटाइन की देखरेख में खेले। कोच ने भी भारत की हार के बाद अपने पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया। अनस ने अपने पूरे कॅरिअर में चोट से परेशान रहे।

It comes with a very heavy heart today to announce my retirement from Indian national football team. It’s been a very hard decision to take and accept. I love to play more years at my best, but I think it’s the time to step down and give opportunities to youngsters who can perform better. It took 11 years to break into the national team and playing for the national team is the top achievement in my career; although the journey was short. Each and every time I tried to give more than 100 percent for the team. I was so disappointed to pick up an injury in the opening minutes and it will hurt me forever. I just want to say a huge thanks to the coach @stephenconstantine for believing in me and giving me the opportunity and I wish you good luck for the future. Also thanks to all the coaching staffs, teammates, the fans and who all have supported me throughout my journey for the national team. I have been blessed to play for my country, with some of the best players. My heart will forever embrace the feeling of walking through the tunnel and out onto the field donning the national jersey with my brothers. @sandesh21jhingan, we had a good partnership in guarding the central defence, it was an emotion playing with you, Brother. @jejefanai, Trust me, you’re the best room partner I ever had and I’ll miss all these! I wish you all good luck and keep making our nation proud. These memories will stay with me forever, ♥️. I’m not giving up, my loves. I think this is right time to take the right decision.
