उन्होंने कहा कि मैं उन सभी भारतीयों को सम्मानपूर्वक नमन करता हूं जिन्होंने विभाजन की भयानक त्रासदी को झेला। उस समय के कुछ नेताओं की राजनीतिक गलतियों के कारण, लोगों को अपने घर, अपनी मातृभूमि और अपनों को खोने का गहरा दर्द सहना पड़ा।
