अर्नब चक्रवात ने छत्तीसगढ़ के कई जिलों में फसलों को भारी नुकसान पहुंचाया है। गौरेला-पेंड्रा-मरवाही जिले में बारिश और तेज हवाओं की वजह से धान की फसल को भारी नुकसान पहुंचा है। चक्रवात को देखते हुए जिला प्रशासन ने पूरे जिले में 'रेड अलर्ट' जारी किया है और सभी स्कूलों और आंगनवाड़ी केंद्रों में एक दिन की छुट्टी घोषित कर दी गई है।

प्रदेश में ‘अर्नब चक्रवात’ के कारण भारी बारिश से किसानों की फसलों को हुए भारी नुकसान को देखते हुए कांग्रेस विधायक देवेंद्र यादव ने मुख्यमंत्री विष्णुदेव साय को पत्र लिखा है। उन्होंने पत्र के माध्यम से किसानों को हुई आर्थिक क्षति की भरपाई के लिए मुआवजा राशि की घोषणा करने और किसानों के कर्ज को माफ करने की मांग की है। विधायक देवेंद्र यादव ने अपने पत्र में कहा है कि प्रदेश में अर्नब चक्रवात के कारण अचानक अत्यधिक वर्षा हो रही है। खेतों में किसानों की फसल पूरी तरह से कटाई के लिए तैयार खड़ी थी, लेकिन लगातार हो रही मूसलाधार बारिश और खेतों में पानी भर जाने से फसलें पूरी तरह प्रभावित हो गई हैं। इससे किसानों को भारी आर्थिक नुकसान का सामना करना पड़ रहा है।
