Class 12th paper leaked in Reasi, 8 suspended

Eight education officials including incharge and superintendent of an examination centre in Reasi were suspended after question papers of two Class 12th exams were found to be leaked, officials said here.

The incident came to light when Sub-Divisional Magistrate Ashwani Khajuria found seal of the envelope containing English paper of Class 12th broken and one paper missing.
Moreover, seal of another envelope containing papers of Education subject was also found broken.
Following the incident, English paper scheduled for today at Shajroo Centre of Higher Secondary School was cancelled and Education paper scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed in the entire district.

Deputy Commissioner Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhar has ordered registration of a case in this regard. However, no formal complaint has been lodged yet.

“We have not received the formal letter from Deputy Commissioner, we will register a case and take further action in this regard,” SP Rajouri S Chouhan said.

Centre incharge Nazir Ahmed, Superintendent Mohd Qayoom Khan, Deputy Superintendent Mohd Amin, teachers- Nazam Din, Mohd Hussain, Ankush Sharma, Library Assistant Abdul Rashid and another official have been suspended.
