The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is an education board of public as well as private schools. This board comes under the Union Government of India. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is also responsible for the declaration of results of its board and academic programmes. The board also conducts Supplementary School Examination for the students who could not pass in the annual examination. In addition to that the CBSE takes all the essential steps that it considers essential for conducting the examination in smoother way.
In 1929, the government of India set up a joint Board named "Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Rajputana". This included Ajmer, Mewar, Central India and Gwalior. Later on it was restricted to Ajmer, Bhopal and Vindhya Pradesh. In 1952, it was renamed as the "Central Board of Secondary Education". The board conducts final examinations every spring for All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) for Class 10 and 12.The board also annually conducts the AIEEE exam for admission to undergraduate courses in engineering and architecture in numerous colleges spread over India. It also conducts AIPMT (All India Pre medical Test) for admission to major medical colleges in India. On 28 May 2012, CBSE declared class 12th results.80% students have cleared the examination in 2012.
